The kids are back in school, traffic is picking up, the weather is getting cooler .... signs that summer is on its way out. These cherries remind me of summer. Oh how I miss fresh cherries from the Farmer's Market!
claire, you always have the most delightful way of sharing your heart......these cherries are so cheery!!! fabulous little illustration....and i love the painting of your surprise package from your son!! xox, :))))
Hi Claire! Thanks for visiting today. I love your sketches. They are all so so happy and wonderful and it's rather difficult also--at least for me. You do it so well!
Thanks for all the comments. After about a month away from my art toys... I think it is about time for me to get them out and get sketching and painting again! Thanks for your encouragement it makes me want to get back at it. ;-)
Chrissy - yes, sadly I've been away from my sketching and painting TOO long. Having a little trouble getting the engine started again. I did do a new painting on Sunday for another one of Laure Ferlita's classes (Autumn) and plan to post it tonight. I've got lots of 'ideas in my head' for new pages... I just need to sit down and "let the hands play". With the structure of the class, I think I'll soon get back in the swing of things.
I love cherries, and they have now disappeared from my supermarket. I guess I'll have to wait until next summer...
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely to find your comment. I have enjoyed looking through your journal pages, such a great way to keep memories.

ReplyDeleteMe, too! All that great summer food, corn on the cob, peaches, blueberries ... Fall is beautiful, but it's sad saying goodbye to summer, too.
