Good Morning Whidbey Island!!

My husband and I recently visited our oldest son in his new home on Whidbey Island in Washington State. I painted this from a not-so-great, out-the-car-window photo as we drove by on the first morning. I was really taken by the beautiful sites in the area and I have many more pictures to paint from.

  1. There are so many beautiful spots in Washington--one of my best friends lives just outside Seattle. Hope you enjoyed your visit and that you'll share more of your paintings and pictures.

  7. Hi There...I really like this picture a lot. There is something so blissful about it. I can't quite put a finger on it exactly. I am no artist and most of the terminology that you super people use is wayyyyy beyond my comprehension but I thank you for this blog and the opportunity it has given people like me to learn and understand different media of creativity.
    regards-Sunjay

  8. Welcome to Whidbey! It is a lovely spot for sketching and painting. Your sketch very well captures the essence of long grassy fields overlooking the salt water passage ways. I love it and would like to receive any new sketches that you add to your blog.
