well done mom, this is making me wish I was joining you and Dad to Europe and Ireland with Sean. I especially like your Shamrock.... save that for a future beer label...

If I were with you in Ireland, I'd be right there in that local bookstore, too. Looks like you're enjoying your "trip."

There's something about this type of travel painting that really captures an essence of being there. I can just imagine walking into that quaint bookstore and lingering awhile ...

Beautiful colors and great perspective. Are you on the Ireland trip?

Thanks for your comments. Yes, this page (and some others I'll post) are from an 'Imaginary Trip to Ireland' that I am now enjoying with Laure Ferlita (Imaginary Trips). These trips have been fun for me in many different ways and I've learned quite a bit about painting through the assignments.

These two images are based on pictures that I found using GoogleMaps. So I did some exploring around Ireland first with GoogleMaps to find something that I was inspired to work with.

and.... I am fortunate to have an opportunity to visit Ireland for 3 days in the near future. I'll post some images from my real trip when I return.

You're probably back from your trip to Ireland by now... hope you had a great time. For the rest of us, we'll live vicariously through your journal pages in Laure's class and of your real trip.
