After looking all over the market I settled for a single sunflower. After all sunflowers remind me of photos of the Tour de France when the cyclists ride through a field of sunflowers. Also, my brother Jim was nice enough to give me a bouquet of sunflowers for my birthday and to wish me Bon Voyage just before I embarked on this adventure. I hope I'll remember all the scents as well as the colors of the flower market when I look back at my journal when I return home!

What a beautiful flower market, Claire. I love the way you've been painting sans pre-paint pencil work. Such a lovely feel to the pieces.
Very cute... Looks like your having fun with this class, lots of fun paintings!
...I love this painting, and it was one of my favorite assignments in the class!! Hope you're having a wonderful holiday! Are you going to take the beach class? i'm signed up for it!
Actually, this image (and most of mine) has pencil underneath. There were only 3 pages in the class that I did without pencil or pen.
Kelly - yes I've signed up for the Beach class. I figure that it will be a sure way to bring some sunshine to our days in winter!!
I have so thoroughly enjoyed dropping in on you here and there as your "Paris adventure" continues... I especially enjoy this little piece...It speaks to all the senses...So bright and joyful and filled with lovely fragrance! Ahhhh!
What a wonderful little sketch Claire - and I'm really glad to see that you're taking the Beach class too - I'll see you there!
