A year later and 99 postings later....

I uploaded my first image on this blog back on January 12, 2009. So... its been just over a year and this is post #99. I didn't quite make 100, but I got pretty close. As I reflect back over this past year I am amazed at what I've gained through this blog journey - encouragement to devote time to my art, feedback on my paintings, improved drawing and painting skills, exposure to amazing art at other blog sites, and new friends. The journey even included some exposure around the globe to bloggers elsewhere and peeks at "Paris" through my online class. Blogging this past year has been such a wonderful journey and I thank everyone that I've interacted with for being part of my journey. Thank you so much!!

The image above is one of my favorite paintings from the 'Imaginary Trip through Autumn' class that I took last fall with Laure Ferlita .... in parallel with my imaginary trip to Paris with her. It was a busy Fall!!

Hi Claire,

You started your blog on my birthday!!

So nice to have met you through blogging- your "Blessings from Nature" is beautiful..... looks like the cover for book of poetry... or musings from a walk in the country. Have you ever read "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady"? Your painting reminds me a lot of that book... one of my favorites.

I had no idea you had only been blogging a year!

I do love your work and your style and I hope we get to see more of it as you find more time for your art!

Congratulations, Claire! I have enjoyed your posts, insights into your art making and following your creative journey. 99 posts is almost twice a week. A year of blogging certainly has it challenges when done on a regular basis. Look forward to seeing what's in store.

Happy blogging anniversary! That's a wonderful accomplishment. And I love the little painting. I'm about to take one of Laure's classes, and I've enjoyed seeing what you and some of her other students have posted.

Teresa - no, I haven't read "The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady". I'll have to look it up and check it out.
