I used a couple of photos off of the Musee Rodin website as inspiration. What a fun place it would be to take a stroll through the gardens.
This second image was painted from a very small and long photo. It is one of my favorites because of the different format.

Claire; these are so fun. My son just came back from a week in France with lots of pictures. I cannot wait to use some of them to paint from. Your work is beautiful!!!!
Marthann - thanks for stopping by. That would be a great idea for you to use some of your son's photos to paint from. In the recent journal page that I did of my oldest son's blog entry from a coffee house visit - I actually painted the photo from his blog showing his coffee cup, computer and biscotti. It was fun sort of 'following his footsteps'.
