Last month I had the opportunity to spend the day sketching and doing watercolor as part of a class near Santa Cruz. Looking for something to sketch and paint, I came across these Nasturtiums. I've always had a fondness for them, but so far I haven't managed to get them growing in my own yard.

Lucky you! Sounds like a great class, and who wouldn't want to be sketching near the coast...
You don't need to have them growing if you can paint like this. If You want to try again I'll send you some seeds.
This is a lovely rendering...great leaves! Love your little weatherbox!
It's obviously far too warm for them where you are!! They thrived 'up North' when I was growing up (Yorkshire, UK ... as soon as the sun popped out and it was warmer than 18c my mum would consider it bikini time ... 22+ would be a heatwave!!)
I'm very familiar with these little fellows so thanks for the happy memory. Beautifully drawn as always!
Thank you for the feedback. It is fun to share my pages with you and eagerly look for your latest postings as well.
