Sketch Day with Friends

I recently enjoyed a Saturday afternoon sketching with friends. It is so energizing to get with other people that are also interested in sketching and watercolors. When we're together we do lots of talking, a bit of eating, and some art sharing. This time we also worked a bit in our journals and the time just flew by. It sure seems like the fun is multiplied when you share the experience with friends. I can't wait for our next get together!!

thanks for your comment on my blog - sorry I am not more active on it (it all happens at flickr for me)
Love your sketch - I ALWAYS get a special thrill to see a sketch of a cuppa and this one is delightful! How cool to catch up with friends too!!! Totally agree with your comments...let me know if you are ever in Sydney!

Claire, I love your blog. I can tell that your creative pursuits are the source of great peace and happiness. When you described sketching outside, I recalled all those perfect days that I've done the same. I always pinch myself and say, "It doesn't get much better than this!"

Hi Claire, I have spent too much time on your blog today. I just had to read everything and click on every drawing so I could see it up close. You do such wonderful work and I especially love you handwriting incorporated into the design. Thanks for my wonderful coffee break.

How nice to have friends nearby to sketch with! I used to do that with scrapbookers, and unfortunately, there are many more scrapbookers than sketchers. I would love to have company while sketching.
