Trip to Paris - cover for my book

This is the end of my Imaginary Trip to Paris -- the cover for the book that I made in the class. The image that popped up most in my journal is the Eiffel Tower so it is fitting that it also appear on the cover of my journal.  I enjoyed painting this cover -- and was pleased to even capture the cyclist (reminding me of my oldest son!) from the reference photo.

P.S. I borrowed the lace/eyelet idea from elviestudio

and it printed out so nice, too! How did you get it printed on a glossy paper? Take it to a print shop?

Lori - The eyelet/lace frame for the cover came to mind instantly -- the black/white seemed to remind me of something French - maybe wrought iron adornments on buildings? (although I've never been there to see for myself)

What a beautiful and fitting cover for your lovely trip journal. I was especially taken with your collage. I know how close you are with your mom and were with your Dad, so what fun to include them in the final page of your trip. You have such a knack formaking the experience of visiting Paris real and immediate for your readers. You have become very skilled with your watercolors!
