The joy of roses - My father loved roses, and he enjoyed growing them and giving them to others. I also love to grow roses, but this is not the season for my own roses to bloom. So, I was delighted to find some beautiful roses in the grocery store. I bought enough to share with my mom and keep some for myself.

How beautiful! I love the muted colors, and how they blend so well together. Very nice! What kind watercolor do you use? And, is it sketch with pencil? I am new to watercolor journaling and am trying to learn... Thank you so much for sharing your blog and beautiful art.

In response to 'what did I use' - I use Daniel Smith watercolors and I did pencil the sketch first.
So pretty and elegant is a single rose...a lovely painting! :)
